CW: Research on Sexual Assault
Over the past 10 years, in response to data indicating that as many as 1 in 5 undergraduates students have experienced sexual assault on college campuses across the US, there has been substantial efforts made to improvise prevention and response. Much of those efforts leave out students with disabilities, even though these students are at a far greater risks of sexual violence.
Hear from researchers Christine Lew, Aliza Sajjad, and Megan McCliskey regarding their 2021 study to asses the accessibility and inclusivity of UW’s sexual assault prevention and response efforts.
Join us during your lunch break on this Friday, May 20th, 12-1pm to learn more about the results of the study, and understand how we can all work towards a safer, more accessible campus for students with disabilities.
