This snake was probably fairly chilly in the rainy afternoon yesterday so not moving a whole lot. I saw it before it rattled and was able to stop before alarming it too much and I got some shots with my long lens, then gave it space while we moved around it. When we came back down the trail later it was still there and asleep so I was able to sneak up just a little closer to get some iPhone shots as well.
