Tonight! Hear from celebrated photographer Judith Joy Ross in a conversation with Joshua Chuang on her recent Aperture monograph. Considered one of the greatest portrait photographers in the history of the medium, Ross’s emphatic and timeless images are filled with an astonishing emotional clarity. Her black-and-white large-format portraits—unpretentious, quietly penetrating, startling in their transparency—consistently achieve the capacity to glimpse the past, present, and perhaps even the future of the individuals who stand before her lens.
