Europe is experiencing very high temperatures this week. Today it is over 30 degrees in several countries in Europe. In Belgium, temperatures of 34 degrees are expected today, and even 37 degrees tomorrow.
The Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain will also be hot in the coming days.
If you are travelling by car, take plenty of water with you. And make sure you supply your radiator with enough coolant before you leave.
Here are a few tips for travelling in your classic car:
1. Inspect your drive belt, fans and radiator before departure.
2. Fill your radiator with sufficient coolant
Before you set off on your journey, make sure to fill up the radiator with plenty of coolant.
3. Check your drive belt
If the drive belt breaks then it’ll affect the water pump, stopping coolant from being circulated.
4. Clear out the radiator
Debris can block the airflow to your cooling system and damage the engine.
5. Check on the radiator cap
If it isn't fastened properly it could effect system pressure.
Take precautions and pay extra attention to the elderly and children with this drought.
